This advanced workshop takes you on a self-paced journey through the custom woodworking design+build process. You will learn how to:
- articulate ideas through concept sketches
- test designs with prototyping
- produce shop/detail drawings
- select and procure materials
- build and finish your design
With complete access to a wide range of tools and multiple instructors, you will learn how to safely and effectively use a variety of techniques and tools relevant to your project. Specific topics of instruction will vary with each project. Students are expected to present a project concept/idea at class start.
Class will meet weekly for progress review, q&a, design critique. An additional 40 hours of
studio / workshop time (for individualized instruction and guidance) is included with this class, dates to be arranged with instructor per each student’s schedule.
Prerequisite: Completion of the Workshop Certification class or equivalent experience with instructor pre-approval.
